Industry Packaging Professional of the Year (Our Co-Director and Co-Founder,Joe Foster)
Thank you to everyone at the AIP for this recognition!
After a big week at Auspack 2019, the team at O F Packaging are blown away at the level of interest in our product offering, with a distinct attraction of brand owners to our sustainability wall. Our collaboration with Brookfarm on our first printed, fully recyclable single-polymer pouch was a hit with booth visitors. Accompanied by unprinted recyclable pouches from The Pouch Shop, and compostable film & bread clip samples from Inno Bagclosures, we provided a fully-rounded sustainable solutions display which provided a platform for discussions on the future of packaging and sustainability.
Despite the enviro-hype, nothing came close to the response we received to our Packaging Peepshow display. The intrigue for our product innovations, coupled with the mystery of the black curtain and allure of bright lights, allowed a unique experience for those visiting our stand beyond your typical trade show display. Away from the crowds and noises of the expo, visitors could take a guided tour through the Peepshow, and view a collection of flexible and carton innovations that displayed our company creativity.
This won’t be the last you see of the Packaging Peepshow…

What's the big deal about packaging?
Packaging is integral to the way present, view, interact, and consume products in the modern marketplace. Having evolved from serving its basic primary function of food protection and transport, packaging has become a multi-functional extension of products and the brands themselves.
The breadth of packaging options continues to extend, as manufacturers continue to adapt to new materials and technologies. However this advancement has also created confusion for brands in choosing the right packaging option for their products.
So how do new food entrepreneurs choose, when the option seem endless?
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Fine Food 2018 - Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand and said hello!
One of our favourite things is speaking to people face-to-face about our business, our current and future innovations, and just packaging in general! Being able to offer advice and knowledge to others is what we’re all about, and we’re already excited for our next show to do it all again!

Our innovation stand continued to be the “stand out” of our display, while our new sustainable packaging pouches drew plenty of attention too. It’s wonderful to see so many brands take an interest in new ideas in the packaging sector. It drives us to be more creative own work, and continue to provide the best advice and breadth of options to our customers possible.

We received so much positive feedback across all of our divisions, but a special mention must be given for The Pouch Shop. Smaller domestic companies and start-ups were so excited to see us offer a local,short- run digital printing option that they could utilize for their products and mock-ups. Thank you again for everyone who helped made Fine Food 2018 a success - we’ll see you next time!
